Adolescence is a confusing time between childhood and adulthood
Adolescence is a confusing time between childhood and adulthood; a time to push the boundaries and question everything. It can be a difficult time of adjustment for the parent or guardian as well. The adolescent may be moody, argumentative, or even secretive. It is not unusual for them to act like an adult one minute and be childlike the next. Our clinicians understand the wide range of emotions that adolescence presents and work diligently to balance the needs of each patient.
The biggest challenge that parents or guardians face is getting the adolescent to want to come to therapy. The providers in our practice easily relate to adolescents, and offer a safe, supportive atmosphere where they can feel comfortable opening up.
